The Argument For Owning All Franchise Locations

When you assume control of a franchise location, it’s a nice investment. When you assume control of all locations of a particular franchise in a large market, you have the ability to mold how the franchise in that area looks, acts and feels to customers. That’s a powerful thing, indeed.

That’s certainly been the case for Guillermo Perales, who owns 96 Burger Kings and a host of other franchises, chiefly in the Houston, Texas region. This is a smart move:

“When you have the whole market you can do what you think is the right thing,” Perales says. Owning the market allows you to close, move and build stores, and to set uniform pricing and promotions without ruffling the feathers of customers who notice different deals at different locations, or have disagreements with other franchisees, he explains.

“It’s only one price, one promotion, one message,” Perales says.

With the ability to control all aspects of a franchise outside of the base menu and the branding, you can really make an area’s Burger Kings or Popeyes your own. Something to think about for franchisees.

Papa John’s Is Ready For The Gridiron

The NFL season is here, and millions of Americans are thrilled to be watching football again, your erstwhile blogger very much included. Go Falcons!

On the franchise side of things, a relationship with the NFL is not just lucrative but potentially game-changing. If you happen to be the pizza company associated with the league—and millions do order pizza every Sunday for the games—then you’re thrilled with that deal. Papa John’s certainly is.

You’ll want to read more about how the franchise is taking advantage of its position as the official pizza of the NFL, because it’s extremely instructive if your franchise has a relationship with a major sports league. There are many, many ways to use that to help your bottom line and appeal to your customers.

Why Cheeseburger Pizza Is Popular In The Middle East

On paper, a cheeseburger pizza is not necessarily a delightful treat. In the Middle East, however, it’s become an incredibly popular one.

That’s because the demand for American-style food in predominantly Arabic countries like Saudi Arabia is sky-high, and it shows no sign of abating. Many of these countries are looking for novelty and new options in their dining, and franchises can certainly offer that in a way they simply can’t in America, where they are decidedly known quantities. That’s how a pizza with a crust made of cheeseburgers takes off.

If you aren’t already trying to court an eager Middle East market, maybe you ought to be trying.
